The Windsor Port Authority, established as one of the 17 national ports by the Canada Marine Act (1999), serves as a crucial nexus for fostering economic prosperity in the Windsor-Essex region. The Challenge
With the employees working into the evening, which gets darker much earlier in the winter months, and with prominent street-facing windows and glass doors, the port authority proactively identified a need to fortify privacy and security measures at this location, 3190 Sandwich St., Windsor, Ontario. With a successful history of working together, the Port Authority engaged Windsor Window Imaging to provide a window film solution to address these challenges.
The Solution
Windsor Window Imaging proposed a comprehensive solution to enhance privacy, security, and solar protection. A security assessment was done, and a combination of 3M S140 14mm and Night Vision 15 was recommended for its top-of-the-line performance in the industry. Overall, the solution provided clear day and night visibility, ensuring enhanced privacy while increasing security, safety, and comfort.
The Results
Windsor Window Imaging efficiently completed the installation, covering approximately 275 square feet of windows and glass doors within a single day. Despite the need to remove blinds beforehand, the process was executed seamlessly by a single installer. Implementing window film significantly improved daytime privacy and enhanced security while also providing solar protection, including glare reduction, for the Windsor Port Authority and its employees.
