Window Film for New Home in Seven Lakes Community

A homeowner in the Seven Lakes Community, LaSalle, Ontario, wanted window film for their new custom home. This client had previously worked with Windsor Window Imaging on their former home and once again sought out Rusty Johnston and his team for their new residence. With large windows throughout the house, including prominent front-facing windows, the homeowners wanted to ensure both privacy and sun control without compromising the aesthetic appeal of their property. Before moving in, they wanted to have the window film installed to enhance their comfort from day one.

The Challenge

The new home featured large windows throughout, including prominent windows facing the front of the house. The homeowners were keen on maintaining the aesthetic appeal of their homes while achieving a high level of privacy and sun control. They needed a solution that would enhance their living experience without drastically altering the appearance of their windows.

The Solution

After a thorough assessment, Rusty Johnston and his team recommended a combination of 3M Night Vision window films. The selection was based on the specific needs of different areas of the home.

  • 3M Night Vision 25: Applied to the lower front windows to maximize privacy and heat reduction without making the interior overly dark. This film was ideal for areas where the homeowners desired more privacy.

  • 3M Night Vision 35: Used on other windows to allow more natural light into the home while offering significant heat control. This option was perfect for maintaining the home's bright and welcoming atmosphere.

The Installation Process

The installation covered approximately 250 square feet of window film, meticulously applied to the interior surfaces. Despite the challenging nature of some windows, including those located over stairs and at higher elevations, our experienced, working-at-heights certified installer completed the project efficiently in just one day.

The Results

The installation of 3M Night Vision window films delivered multiple benefits:

  • Increased Comfort: The films effectively reduced heat and glare, creating a more comfortable living environment.

  • Enhanced Privacy: The homeowners achieved the desired level of privacy without compromising on their home's natural light or exterior look.

  • UV Protection: The window films offer protection from harmful UV rays, helping to preserve interior furnishings and reduce the risk of fading.

  • Energy Savings: Solar control window film lowers cooling costs in the summer and reduces heat loss in the winter, making the home more energy-efficient.

  • Timely Completion: All window films were installed before the homeowners moved in, ensuring their new home was ready for occupancy.

The homeowners were delighted with the results, appreciating the seamless process and the immediate improvements in comfort and privacy. Windsor Window Imaging once again demonstrated its commitment to quality service, delivering a tailored solution that met the specific needs of the client.
